“We wanted to get rid of the notion that this was a show about superheroes by taking away any design choices that would render the girls as fast and powerful. Because they’re female, we’re focusing on their ~feelings~ rather than their ability to fight crime or the fact that they have superhuman powers.”
Feminism.
And you ignoramus. Oh my god. Of course they never walk in the original, don’t you get it? THEY’RE SUPERHEROES. I’ve mentioned this before, but the rare times that they did walk, most of the time it was when they had lost their superpowers. Showing them walking showed how they became less powerful. You just made the visual cue of them losing their powers become the norm.
Maybe it’s just me and the fact that I just woke up and I’m pretty cranky and still haven’t had my coffee, but the fact that they actually didn’t put any thought into the design and did this stuff for all the wrong reasons is so aggravating to me.
“I have no understanding of what made the original show visually interesting or appealing, and will proceed to describe several things we aim for and fail at”.
