So I finally drove the 4 hours up to Confusion Hill to see Bill Cipher with my sister. It was actually a really pretty drive so it went by fast and we wondered if it would be hard to find the tree that Bill was on once we got there.
But no super easy this is the view from where I parked (above) and you basically turn to the parking lot and yup there’s Bill. You really can’t miss him. So my sister @waterxharuka and I took some picture of and with Bill.
Then went to find the chest. Luckily a few days before leaving for the trip I twitted the mayor of gravity falls and asked where she put the chest and she told me it was under the golden pig in the gift shop. When you enter the gift shop you see…
…see this so it wasn’t hard to find the chest at all.
I forgot to take pictures inside the chest but I guess what’s inside will always be changing anyways. I had brought a notebook (shown bellow) for people could write anything they wanted and for it to stay with the chest
and when I opened the chest there were two other notebooks already in the chest. So hopefully the word will get spread around because I hadn’t heard of anyone leaving a notebook in there before. I only heard of the idea of it but there is one for writing more of your name and the date, another that looked like Journal 3 to write and draw whatever you want…and now mine. I wrote in mine if someone wanted to take it they could since there are already two in there but if they want to leave it for if one notebook gets full eventually they could. But anyways so my sister and I took some things from it:
and left a mug and some key chains for the next cipher hunter
and then we explored the rest of Confusion Hill. And I have to tell you I have a new understanding of what the Mystery Shack is and feels like after being there. It was a total rip off but also hilarious and worth it. My sister and I were laughing at everything like the pet rock prison, or the free exhibit that didn’t always work but it didn’t matter because it always worked, and the really really old Reese I bought for a snack that did not taste very good anymore. I feel like I finally understand what the Mystery Shack really is now.
We then said our goodbyes to Bill and started our drive home in hopes of missing holiday traffic (it was the day before Thanksgiving). Overall it was a fun experience and I’m glad I made the trip. I know not everyone who would want to go can make it there because of how far they live but I hope this gives you a small glimmer of what it was like there and an update that Bill is still doing well in a tree but still hatless. Lastly I letting @hollycrowned know that I have now made this post and they may summarize it or reblog or do whatever they want to spread this info since I find them really helpful for Gravity Falls updates especially during the Cipher Hunt. Stay Weird everyone.
