BACKGROUND SKETCH - This might be one of the messiest sketches I've ever put together. I wanted to emulate what would've been shooting this movie.

PONES SKETCH - Said messy sentiment spread out onto the sketch with the ponies, which was done fairly quickly despite the amount of characters.

INKS - These inks originally started as a more detailed sketch, until I decided to polish them a bit and make them look better. Movie's mane isn't transparent in this one.

BACKGROUND - The original movie has a lot of very obvious sets, including something that looks like a toilet but instead is the bottom of the Martian spaceship.

BACKGROUND (SHADED) - I like how in the film Santa's workshop has this one window that gives the warmest shade of orange. I used that one of the light sources.

BASIC COLORS - Colorful horses are colorful. Not much to say on this one other than I avoided giving the characters textures, as to keep them rather flat.

FULLY SHADED - This one has a combination of orange and purple colors. Perhaps not the best choice in hindsight. Still, it makes the characters stand out better against the background.

COMPLETED - I was going to not add any extra effect layers or any sort of atmosphere, but in the end I threw a little bit of it in there. I felt compelled to do so.
