hey kids we’re living in a fascist regime

This is a very cool resource for people who want to fight back but aren’t sure how.

reblogging for the swingleft.org link. It’s a really great, easy to use/understand resource

Link your sources next time OP, this isn’t rocket science.

1. Trump has reversed the block of the pipeline and reopened it for discussions, he has not signed it into action - it is still going to have to renegotiated.
2. Trump has frozen some EPA deals and there are claims going around that he has forced the hand of the Twitter account but I can’t find anything conclusive, all anyone knows is that tweets were deleted. Interestingly there are claims the EPA was told to just not post for a bit but that is likely much larger than just the EPA, social media accounts in general have become a bit too comfortable with partisan behavior and I wouldn’t put it past Trumpt to reign everyone back in. This is all very hazy.
3. Arts funding is being considered as a cut as part of pulling back government spending, the title is true-ish (because the cuts have not been confirmed) but doesn’t make any attempt to explain the why of it - to save money.
4. Communication shutdown is likely due to the previously mentioned partisan issues and the Obama administration’s previously lax ideas about what is and is not public knowledge, tightening that up and telling employees what the new policies are seems to be what is occurring.
5. The Flint case being closed is complicated but also from December 2016, well before Trump had anything to do with anything.
6. This one is a real fucking doozy, the quote of 36,000 is literally just out of Bernie Sander’s mouth which has a lot of problems. First off it’s citing a study conducted by The Urban Institute (which the WashingtonPost article doesn’t cite properly, go figure) and that study is going through ONE possible method of repealing and using the numbers of uninsured deaths from ONE state and then extrapolating the number of people who would be uninsured out to figure a death total. Really fucking suspect, basically.
7. Can’t even dig that one up.
