Well shit, I want to see this, too.

Because here’s the thing: Trixie pulls up her tiny lil’ wagon to this HUMUNGO-ASS CASTLE and fumbles up the steps to knock on the needlessly tall doors.

You have to understand that at this point, Trixie would be having cold sweats and probably shaking. Although, if the finale is anything to go by, that just makes them a perfect match:

Relatively speaking here, to her it feels like it takes a good long while before anybody opens the door, and that only makes the shimmey-shakes worse.

Then Twilight comes to the door.

“Trixie? What’s wrong? Did something happen?”

“Why would you assume that?”

Twilight bends her neck. “You look like you just came from the pits of Tartarus. Are you sure you’re alright?”

*sweats* “Trixie refuses to acknowledge the question. It wasn’t asked.” (Hint: Trixie is usually not alright these days if she’s using 3rd person off the stage) “Is Starlight home?”

Twilight can respect that Trixie might not be alright but only really able to share it with her best friend, so she smiles. “She is.” (cue Trixie sweating harder) “I’ll go tell her you’re here. It might take a few minutes, though, it, uh, takes a long time to walk to her room and back.”

So after another overly long, terribly nervous wait (in which Trixie considers the possibility that she could throw up worse than the Las Pegasus show of ‘06), Starlight comes to the door unaccompanied. “Hey… are you alright?”

*SWEATING INTENSIFIES* “YES. NO.”

Starlight steps out of the castle, closes the door. “Did you want to talk about it, or…”

“I would,” she says through a breath.

Starlight stares at Trixie.

Trixie stares at Starlight.

Starlight: “Would you like to talk about it now?”

Trixie nods.

“Are you having trouble with that?”

… Trixie nods.

“I see. Well, you know you can tell me anything. I understand if whatever it is is hard to admit, trust me, but if you ever can say what you’re thinking, I’m right here.”

At this point, Trixie’s dying to tell her, right? But she’s also in agonizing, crippling fear, so that’s out of the realm of possibility.

Instead, she takes off her cap, pulls out a bouquet of roses, and offers them to Starlight (which would be shaking too, if she wasn’t holding them in magic).

At first, Starlight just takes them and smirks, like what a sweet gesture for a friend to do, but the context sets in REALLY fast, because Trixie looks she’s just barely stopping herself from hyper-ventilating. “Does this mean what I think it means?”

Trixie tries to take a deep breath (fails), and finally just goes for it: “Starlight Glimmer, would you go out with me?”

Biting her lip, Starlight lunges forward and hugs her. “Yes! Obviously!”
