Do you recognize this image?

I recall it surfacing around when SatBK was announced, but have no idea the source it came from. It can’t be fake. I always found it intriguing because you rarely see Sonic so solemnly serious in promotional artwork like these with the exception of Forces or ShtH (despite the fladerization).

I strongly believe that the frowning variant in different lighting was quite possibly a promotional image given to magazine(s). That might be a Nintendo Power cover or inside poster.
