Originally my Dad was going to help cover the cost of getting me ready for college. He’s decided that he knows better than my therapist and that I don’t need my cat Moo to come with me and won’t be covering the expense to get her there. The letter from my therapist and my dad’s message will be below the cut.
But Why Do I Need to Bring My Cat?
Moo acts as a distraction when I’m having an anxiety attack or other. She recognizes when I’m upset and comes to comfort me, often licking my hand until my attention is on her. Mostly this helps my stay present, not spiral, and also stops me from punching myself.
Why Not Get a Job?
This whole year, continuing into the summer and beyond, I’ve had so many doctors appointments for so many things. Recently I’ve started physical therapy, and soon I’ll be going in for an MRI and for genetic testing for
Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. This hectic schedule and physical toll will prevent me from having a regular job, hence why I’m doing sketch commissions.
