every semester, without fail, there’s some freshman who’s like “oh I never check my email lol” and i get worried for them, bc they’re going to miss some important email about a pop quiz or a test, or something and then fail. so if you’re a freshman reading this, CHECK YOUR EMAIL im not joking, professors will send you stuff via email that they’ll never mention in class. I’m in my email every hour on the hour before and after class. check that shit. put that app on ur phone, turn on notifs, go in and refresh every hour, check your spam, check your email

this has been a message from your concerned dad. check ur email, do well in school, i love you

And if that doesn’t motivate you, just remember that professors will also send out e-mails saying that class is cancelled. I’m not saying that all those other e-mails about tests and grades and stuff aren’t important because they are, but if you need a reason to check your e-mail EVERY DAY…

yeah.

This semester my professor is using email for after-exam quizzes that are REQUIRED to make sure all her students check their email because many of them are freshmen. That’s also her primary way of sending extra credit options.

Please check your email! Each professor is different and you don’t want to risk missing information that might make or break your grade.

For me, my school email can be opened through gmail. Many school emails can run through a popular server and if you can you should download the email app and turn on notifications. Make sure you check how often those notifications will be given- cause if you rely on notifications to check your mail and you only get an update after you’ve gone to bed it’ll be useless to you.

Check your email!
