(it’s our first session of a new campaign. we have been fighting someone goblins, one attempted to shoot an arrow at our fighter and missed.)

Paladin: Can I pick up the arrow that the goblin missed with and shoot it back at him?

DM: Shoot it with what?

Paladin: I have a short bow.

DM: Why don’t you use your own arrows???

Paladin: …I want to be cool.
