Hi, it’s been a while a while since I’ve posted something serious but I have no choice this time. There is someone out there trying to ruin my reputation and slander my name. I wasn’t too concerned, until he threatened legal action on me. But I’m not scared. I know I am in the clear and I know he can’t do anything. This is going to be a long story…

I own a pretty big server, around almost 100 people, so every now and then we get someone who is gonna cause trouble. However, this person caused trouble without even starting it. You see, this person was someone named Cassi. They joined and seemed like a decent person at first, casually talking to everyone politely and such. One day he tells us that he’s a marine stationed in Japan. How cool, having someone in the Marine Corps in my server would definitely spice up the chats. After some time he attracted the attention of another member of my server who served in the army, and things got pretty weird and suspicious. Cassi was on almost all day, and with how strict military schedules are, you’d expect him to be busy constantly. Well, these suspicions caught the eye of the other military member and he began to ask him questions that only those in the military would know, for example the name of a firing pin on the M4 rifle. Of course Cassi couldn’t provide the answer. Also keep in mind, in the military you are taught how to disassemble and reassemble your service rifle and to my knowledge, the Marines have some sort of cadence to this. Because of this, and some more long and boring details I really don’t want to drag on about, my Army friend didn’t think he was an actual Marine. Eventually I grew suspicious too and asked for proof. He provided his Marine uniform with no name on it and that was it. As someone stationed in Japan, you’d think it would extremely easy to get proof that you’re, I dunno, stationed in Japan? Due to his lack of evidence, I banned him from my server because I take high offense to Stolen Valor. Whether you’d agree with me or not about that being the best decision, honestly I really don’t care. It was my server and I don’t want liars and manipulators in there.

After banning Cassi, I assumed his schtick was over but about a few weeks later another person joined my server named Andromeda. He was invited by my friend. Immediately red flags were thrown because he was friends with only her and his account was brand new. However I did not have any definitive proof of who he was so I let him in. Things go by for a while without any issue. He acts and talks like Cassi, but nothing too suspicious… until one of my friends provides me with information that Andromeda and Cassi share the exact Roblox account. Around this time he actually left my server due to “personal reasons” but regardless I confronted him. I sent him a friend request and he accepted it immediately. I started to ask him what his Roblox account was but he wouldn’t tell me until I asked him at least 3 times. They matched, so I accused him of being Cassi. He first answered “Who?” but later said “You know I know him right?” in the same conversation. Sadly I did not catch on to this until later. But his excuse was that Cassi gave him his account after went overseas to Japan. Another lie because Cassi was constantly playing Roblox. He then offered proof that he’s had DMs with Cassi. I told him to provide me with screenshots and he said “give me a minute”. Keep in mind screenshotting takes about 30 seconds max and he was taking minutes. I got impatient and I eventually left telling him to “stay out of my server” and that was that. Well, he started DMing a bunch of my friends calling me names and saying how I got his girlfriend killed because apparently during my confrontation with him, he was talking his girlfriend out of suicide and I distracted him from the chat. Okay first off, why would he take his time to talk to me while that was going on? And secondly, why didn’t he tell me that this was going on? Nothing seemed to add up and he kept shooting himself in the foot here and there, and it got worse for him when 3 different people came to me saying that Cassi and Andromeda were the same person, including the person who invited him to the server. I had my evidence but it wasn’t worth exposing him at the time. That was that… right?

Well, no. So just recently, I got a message from an admin on the EQD discord server confronting me about some comments I made on there. Of course I had no knowledge of this and asked for a screenshot of what I said. It was determined that someone used a fake account to impersonate me. Of course I had no idea who it could have been until more of the screenshot was shown to me. Turns out, Cassi/Andromeda was all over the chat when that happened. You can see the screenshot HERE. Immediately I suspected Cassi to be involved somehow but I had no proof until he said something that gave him away completely. You can find his comment HERE. Here are my 2 questions. 1: How did he see a blocked message when he was the one that @’d “me” first and he can’t see when new people join and 2: If this wasn’t me why was it blocked? With these two very reasonable questions and after talking to 2 admins of the server, I concluded that this was either his or a friend’s account. He used this opportunity to spread lies and slander my name, saying I allowed minors to view NSFW material in my server and tried to get everyone in EQD to rally against me. I was absolutely pissed but I kept my cool and offered to have a private discussion with him so we can work things out.

It started off pretty well, we both were level-headed and had no intention of yelling at each other. I showed him the evidence that people knew he was Cassi but he still wouldn’t budge. Eventually he turned the entire thing on me, saying that I am worse than Cassi because I allow kids to look at porn in my server. I told him that Discord has an 18+ warning for every NSFW channel and I am not responsible for who chooses to lie about their age to look at the content, but he wouldn’t believe me. He threatened legal action saying that if I were to make a call out post about him, he would call the police on me. I know for a fact I would not be convicted of any crime because I did everything Discord’s NSFW terms of services told me to do. In fact I went out of my way to ask them about whether I could get into legal trouble if minors saw NSFW material on my server. I have yet to get a response. I will update whenever I do. TL;DR: Some kid pretended to be a Marine be we found out he wasn’t so I banned him from my server just for him to return under a new name, and once that was figured out he tried to ruin my reputation and threatened me with legal trouble.
