Part of our job is to walk up the stairs in the attraction and safely evacuate those who are stuck onboard (it happens all the time.) There was this older lady who was stuck up there, after I’d convinced her that the ride was going to be fun. They had to call the fire department to evacuate her because she couldn’t walk down all the steps.
After the FD got her down, I apologized that all of that had happened to her and I was going to scan her ticket to get her a Fastpass to any attraction in the park. HOWEVER while she was going through her purse to get her glasses and her ticket, HER GLASSES BROKE!!! I don’t know if they’d gotten fucked up because of the ride or not, but my empathy level skyrocketed to Venus at that point. Worse was because she’d said that a relative would have to come pick her up from the park because she wouldn’t be able to see walking around; completely voiding my Fastpass offer. Oh! And do you know what she said when she found her glasses broke? “Fiddlepop…” SHE SAID FUCKING “FIDDLEPOP”!!!! I wanted to cryyyyy!! :”(
